Hi all Playing Royal Lytham a week on Monday for the first time. I appreciate it isn’t the height of the season ? but what sort of shape is it likely to be in from anyone’s experience? Thanks

Never had a problem personally but the longer grassed one would be better if you’ve got really severe slopes. My course hasn’t really got much in the way of severe lies.

I’ve got both and find the shorter grass better but both are excellent and the design is superb!

Spurk mats are about as good as gets for those cold and muddy months. My course is off mats from mid October until mid March most years and having tried cheap products the Spurk is definitely the best I’ve used.

Played Cavendish, Buxton, on PlayMoreGolf for 6 points which works out at approximately £21 (paid £350 for 100 points) - absolutely delightful course in lovely condition!
