I was told AG decided that the zstar are so close in terms of performance to the ad333 tour they did not want to offer the zstar as they deemed it a niche market. The assistant agreed that this was madness as it was one of the best selling balls in that store.

Yeah, I tried the AD333 tour but prefer the z-star.... even though my swing speed probably isn't quite up at the recommended velocity

Gamola are good but I find their shipping times woeful. Ordered Friday morning last week and only shipped on Wednesday this week. In this day and age I find 4 working days (including the Friday I ordered as it was early am) to be poor. But never had an issue with the actual goods

I get mine form Best4balls.
I would imagine this has nothing to do with Srixon changing where they wwant to retail them and more down to AG probably wanting them at too cheap a price wholesale.

Weird. Just popped into local AG and I'm sure I saw they still had boxes of both types.

Was told around the start of May, that they can't order anymore in, so they could just have old stock. Crazy decision in you ask me!

I asked about it in AG tonight and, sure enough, Srixon are restricting them to smaller retailers and pro shops.

So I've ordered some from gamola..... 4 doz.... About 2 years supply!

May be it is true as Dave1980 said then that the difference between them and the AD333 Tour is so negligible for the vast majority of amateurs that it is not worth pushing both with the associated marketing campaigns, so they are concentrating on the AD333 Tours for the big retailers? Remember that the golf market is shrinking and I am sure golf companies are looking to cut costs.

AG told me they were very disappointed they can't stock z-stars as they sell very well and they still have a constant stream of people asking for them.

Was a Z STAR player for years. Was given a trial pack of two AD333 TOUR balls by the Srixon rep at a monthly medal and have played them ever since. Just as good and spin more for me. More control and softer feel than the Z STAR.

I find it quite refreshing that Srixon have made a cheaper version of the ball I love. Same outer skin as well.
