..right?

Because until I tee off at 9.12 tomorrow, I'd like to be as good as my 30ft downhill breaking putt from the fringe that I sank in front of the clubhouse.

I don't even care that it was for a quad-8, seeing it just rolling away and then thinking "hello this could be close.. no this has got a chance.. go on, go on.. yesssss" and getting a nice ripple from the few guys on the patio has made me feel good.

A lovely way to end the round.

Can't say I've ever had a good 8 :D

If your last shot was a missed 3 footer does that mean you're rubbish?

I think you're only as good as your NEXT shot

My last shot, not putt was on the same hole as the OP a six iron to 3 feet, rolled in for a 3. A very rare birdie for me I'm usually 3 off the tee on that hole.

Though I was pleased with my Putt too, the 3 feet was across the slope and as the greens were quickly drying out after rain needed to be judged right.

A 190 yard 2 iron into a stiff breeze, straight over the flag to 20 feet. Rolled the putt stone dead for a tap in par 3.

I should be on tour.........

Probably struggle to break 90 next week.

By all means take confidence from your last shot/round but I'm in the same camp as others, i.e. its the next shot that's important, and then the next. That's how to post a good round.
