OK so perhaps I'm particularly anal in that I have my Top 100 made up into a set of six CDs but we've done films so now it's songs ....

1. Take me home - Phil Collins
2. Never gonna give you up - Rick Astley
3. Wish I had a photograph of you - Flock of Seagulls
4. Red Red wine - UB40
5. Together in electric dreams - Oakey and Moroder

Mr Blobby.
Jedward
The Birdie song
Anything by Jason Donavan
Barbie Girl.

1. Ball of confusion - Temptations (not anything like there other stuff, apart from Psychadelic shack). Try it I never used to have a number 1, until I heard this.
2. Book of brilliant things (Live version) simple minds
3. She sells sanctuary - The Cult
4. The cutter - Echo and the Bunnymen
5. I dont know what it is but I love it - Chris Rea. For memories, I believe the LFC team were singing it in the tunnel before the teams came out when they played Roma in 1984, just before walking into the lions den. I believe some of the Roma players then visibly wilted.

Sign of the southern cross...............Black Sabbath

Silent lucidity...................Queensryche

Grinder.................Judas Priest

Steel the light.............Q5

Its a shame...............Talk Talk

Thought this would be a semi serious topic, but when the OP adds Rick Ghastly in his top 5 I knew it had to be a joke topic.

Sorry but I'm really serious. I've loved that song since the first time I heard it. Got to be honest here, it's your five favourite songs, not "your five favourite that you think will be accepted by everyone else".

Jungleland - Bruce Springsteen
Speedway at Nazareth - Mark Knopfler
Heard it Through the Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
Help - Beatles
Say Hello, Wave Goodbye - Soft Cell

In no order and poss not even top 5 but there or there abouts
Colin Raye-If you get there before I do.
Dusty Springfield-Son of a preacher man
Elvis & Lisa Presley-Don't cry daddy.
Gladys Knight & the Pips-Midnight train to Georgia.
Adele-Someone like you. Adele is for me one of the best singers ever. She sings this song with so much emotion and passion.

Urgent- Foreigner
Airport- The Motors
747 (Strangers in the night)- Saxon
Don't fear the reaper- Blue Oyster Cult
Child of the Universe- BJH

Ok then (they were my favourite songs), but as a guilty pleasures top 5:-

Wired for sound - cliff richard
chirpy, chirpy cheep cheep (Honest I love this song)
January, February - barbara dickson
Boy from New york city - the darts
Annie, I'm not your daddy - Kid creole
Xanadu - Olivier Newton John
From new york to LA - Patsy Gallant

** Will someone please stop me **
Mississippi - Pussycat
Afternoon delight - Starland vocal band
Walk the dinosaur - was not was

ok, then top 10 (ish)

Can I also add onto my top 5 (now a 6) king of the new york streets - Dion - Listen it's boss.

Street Spirit (Fade out) - Radiohead
Love will tear us apart - Joy Division
Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Elephant Stone - The Stone Roses
Paranoid Android - Radiohead

Armageddon It- Def Leppard
Suicide (live) - Thin Lizzy
Rain - Quo
Touch Too Much - AC/DC
Limelight - Rush.

But there are so many more, I could list about a 1000 easily.

The Cult - She sells sanctuary
Ultravox - Vienna
Sex Pistols - God save the queen
The Who - Won't get fooled again
Rolling Stones - Gimme shelter

Saw Midge Ure in concert a couple of months back. His version of Vienna was simply tremendous. The old boy can still bring it! :)

Armageddon It- Def Leppard
Suicide (live) - Thin Lizzy
Rain - Quo
Touch Too Much - AC/DC
Limelight - Rush.

But there are so many more, I could list about a 1000 easily.
