I'm not sure that is necessarily true. You can certainly learn a lot by honestly analysing your rounds (good or bad) and looking at where you could have improved and where you did well but for me it is important not to over react to a single good or bad round. Over the span of a few rounds you should be able to identify common good and bad points and can look at what you need to work on. However, if I have a round where everything is bad and I shoot in the nineties then I generally put it down as a bad day and forget about it.
