HID and I had tickets last night for the athletics. We did the park and ride from Lakeside and from the moment we arrived to park, to the time we got back for the car, I have to say that the whole experience was awesome. All the volunteers, staff etc were brilliant - we do do things so well when we want to!

The noise in the stadium when Mo came round the top bend for the last time was absolutely deafening and the experience was someting that will live in the memory forever - Go Team GB !

WOW!

The atmosphere must have been electric, and well done Mo Farrow, he ran the perfect race - tactics were spot on.

I'm surprised though, that you didn't mention the fantastic gold medal for Jessica Ennis and also the gold in the long jump.

I thought that barring being run over by one of the little Mini cars that transport the discus/javelins that Jessica could have hopped round and still won it, but , Mo didn't look to me so hot when he dropped back to 13th and his last lap was just so brilliant and the noise was even louder than for Jessica, I'm sure that the noise pulled him along that finishing straight. Greg Rutherford's jump just looked so long even from the other end of the stadium. The main reason for my post was just to say how brilliant the organisation is - top man Sebastian Coe!

Aside from the empty seats not heard too many complaints with regard the organisation of the games...

Green with envy though about those lucky enough to have been 'in the house' last night... Something special I reckon with three golds for Team GB ...

Totally agree. I went the following day for the evening session in the Stadium.
Got there six hours early & wandered around the whole of the Olympic Park & watched Andy Murray take Federer apart.
Everything was brilliantly organised, there were no queues, plenty of water fountains & the Games Makers were superb.Once in the Olympic Stadium................my God.................the noise was awesome.
What a day, one I'll never forget.

Slime.
