Its also quite cringing when Cowall thanks and kisse up to the celebrity guest for gracing the show ....

well, they usually have a cereer to relaunch as well as an album and single and are flat broke and in need of the £200,000 they get for miming and doing the show gives them their biggest audience and exposure for 5 years.

Does it grip anybody elses 5h1ter that the winner will probably be a girl who they will dress like a porn star, be told to look sexy and roll about half naked on a video in order to sell ...... a CD.

The older I get the more I despair.

Those two twins need to be taken into away thrown in a weighted sack and chucked into the nearest deep lake. Can't sing, can't dance, so far up themselves its untrue. A total and utter waste of a spot onthe show but sadly they wil be there for weeks and weeks.

Spot on.

Not only did I give up watching, I also consider 2 hours and 10 minutes of utter tosh on BBC 1 (strictly an embarrassment) a total abuse of the license fee.

I support the BBC and in fact sometimes receive cheques for re-runs, repeats and general performing rights royalties.

Saturday night used to have a fair mix of entertainment and even if one program was rubbish (Noel's house party, anyone!) then that would just be an hour to waste.

2 hours and 10 minutes of the worst show ever...... :)

Shameful. If BBC and ITV want to hog HUGE slots of prime-time, why not put a good film or decent drama on another channel to balance things out.

I've just watched the twins on youtube. I don't know about Dodger & Ivan after a skinful.
I could do better with a mouth full of marshmallows doing both rolls.

How did they get selected for the live shows? They ARE a joke!

Chezza is hot but Petem why on earth would she WANT you?
She could have her pick of millions of pre pubescent youths ;)

Saturday night tv for the masses has always been bad, going way back to 321, Gladiators, Stars in their eyes, Beadle's about, Blind date etc etc.

Casualty isn't too bad imo.

X factor is liked by the kids. Maybe just have to accept we're too old for it. Most of us still seem to end up watching however. None of the 12 contestants seem much use to me as singers.

Sorry, have to disagree.
I'm getting old...almost 50
Why should us oldies have to put up with crap TV?
Birdieman, how long have you paid your TV license for?
Dont you think that gives you a right to have a say in what your hard earned is spent on.
I have read somewhere that the less young are soon to out-number the young so why can't we have a say in what is shown on TV?
Young whipper-snappers

TBH , the only ones i want to watch are those two fools, there so bad, they are mildly entertaining.

TV's gone down the sh1tter , No decent films on anymore, and there have been no decent comedy's for an age. I've been counting down the minutes to Di Stewart and Golf Night since 6.
