Genuinely can’t see what practical purpose it serves?
A bit gimmicky imo.
More importantly, I can’t see how I could angrily slam my club back into the hole after a duff shot either.

Something like this was on a Dragon's Den type program, years ago. Like a plastic frame with straps.
I thought it was a good idea at the time. Not so sure now that I always need to carry 2kg of extras.

Not going to be ideal if it rains. And not much pocket space as mentioned above... Not for me I don't think.

It stops the shafts getting stuck in the bag. And if you look you can see the pockets hidden behind the clubs. It's difficult to tell the size of it but if it's the same size as where the clubs used to go then it's probably enough. There's a lot of empty space around shafts in the bag, so this is just an alternate solution. It's certainly a conversation piece .
