Clubs Pro-Am today played off the Black tees medal format....it was carnage!!!! Not one player managed to buffer out of around 28 players.. :o
I had a scrappy but relatively disaster free round to win the individual on nett 77 and I was paired with Francesco Molinari whose eagle on the 18th gave him a 67 which was enough for us to win the "Claret Jug" by 3 shots......

CSS up to 77 and very much suspect reductions only with no handicap cuts...........again!!

Sweetens the disappointment of yesterday a little bit........

I wouldn't disagree. SSS off the blacks is 74 (par 72) . It is definitely better than the silvers at 72 ( par 74) and is only 300 yards longer.
The 1st & 6th become par 4's and measure 484 yards each, but I feel I have more chance of a handicap cut off the blacks than the silvers.

I've managed to persuade them to play one monthly medal off the blacks so that might help. If the scores continue to be as they were today, (in benign conditions), then I don't see that they would have any choice but to move the SSS up.

As I think I said before, reputedly the SSS on your silvers is the same as our yellows. The main differences are that yours is 650 yards longer and way way tighter than ours, with more hazards and much trickier greens. It is utterly laughable they are the same SSS and shows why in places the SSS system is a joke. I would hazard the real difference between the 2 is somewhere between 5 and 8 shots, and may be being conservative!

I too have lost 16lbs in the last 7 weeks and feel really good for it, kind of plateaued now though, its getting harder to see any more coming off :(

19lbs in 14 weeks for me. Geez we must have been a bunch of fatties (yep i know i was and still am lol)
