Winter Greens- Just hateful...

I was walking through the Clubhouse the other day and said to the Secretary "Bloody hell, the greens are hard" to which he replied "Aye, and the Carrots were undercooked too"
:( :(

I think the most posts made without contributing anything useful to the forum goes to........

I like it! Good post!

Played Saturday on an almost totally frozen course. One good thing was the imporvement in my driving distances!!

On a 450 yard par 5 I almost reached the green thanks to the bounce and run. But the greens were impossible - so I just picked up after the first 5 as it wasn't worth the anguish.

I've said it before & I will say it again, don't even bother putting once you've got your ball on the temporary green, just pick up as they serve no useful benefit for anyones putting confidence or the game.

The temporary greens only useful purpose in my opinion, is something to aim at as a finishing point for the hole you are playing in winter conditions no more. No need to even take the cover off a putter at all.
