Winter Gloves

I had some Under Armour Coldgear gloves and they were awful. They absorbed all moisture, which sits against your fingers and makes them even colder. The velcro fastener on them is also a bad design which I didn't get along with.

This year I've been using Mizuno Thermalite and they're pretty good in comparison, thicker and warmer with mixed materials helping with grip and insulation. They still hold a bit of moisture which counteracts the warmth but not nearly as bad as the Under Armour were. Despite being thicker they're really comfortable to grip with and even my putting has been unaffected by wearing them - yes I putt as badly as I do in the summer. :)

I also use Galvin Green Windproof mitts and inside those I keep a HotRox chargeable hand warmer http://www.thehotrox.co.uk which just about lasts a round and stops the fingers from going completely numb.

It sounds like a lot to faff about with but for some I suffer really badly with cold fingers and the combination of winter gloves, mitts and chargeable warmer works well for me.

Have to be honest and say I used the UA mittens at the weekend in biting cold and wind and it was fine. Hands were warmed up nicely between shots and had not issues with cold fingers. Not sure I'd get along with a thicker glove so think I'll stick to the mitts

Personally never found the need for winter gloves. I have a pair of mittens I wear between shots which is more than enough for me.
