Very windy, big big gusts up here in Aberdeen. Played well bar the 13th when I had a guad. Finished on 86.

It would have been v easy to have blamed the wind though.
Still, it's nice to end my season with a good finishing few holes.

I felt like i was in a car wash at various times today out there what with the winds & showers. I tried the freecaddie software (recommended by haplesshacker) on my phone last week & found it really useful but didn't try it today because of the gales, just went off my gut feel & a bit of luck, walked off really pleased with my score considering the conditions.

We played a better ball stableford, 3 quarter handicap in what felt like a force 10 gale today. My partner and I thought we had a chance with 40 points, but when we came in 47 was winning !! We were lying about 5th when i left !

Well, how was it out there today?
Had a five foot par putt on the 12th. Walked off with a nine.
So, yes it was quite breezy.
Had a lesson and it wasn't too bad in deepest Berkshire. Gusty and swirling but playable

14 over after being 8 over after nine. Great fun when hitting drives massive one hole and the next barely getting over 200 yards. One of the par 4s was 320 yards into wind i had to hit driver, 5 iron to get pin high and yet a par 5 that was 530 yards driver, 6 iron greenside. I was soaked to the skin after the first hole, not a great start lol.

Bring it on I say, though tomorrows medal is forcast less wind than today

We three putted almost all green and managed to find parts of the course we had never dared venture to before. (and found 2 good pro v1's in the process!)
I did manage a screamer 3 wood 210 in a rediculous sidewind and watched it bounce on the left of the green and run sideways and almost backwards off the right hand side of the green,managed a fantastic four between us.
Winter 18 hole society starts tomorrow, looking forward to it bar the tined greens.

A real mixed bag for me, but overall not too bad....think I won the medal with a nett 71 which included a 9 on the par 5 17th oops!

Was not playing today as i had to clean and stain the deck.
Managed to clean the deck last night but it bloody rained all morning which meant only got firsy coat of stain put down this afternoon when the deck dried out.
Probably need to try and get second coat on tomorrow.
