So now the little Royal sprogg has been born, will he get any green poo down th act of his fingers. Will they be disposable or Terry nappys, ( me I prefer Terries). Will it be a proper mans name or some stupid Rupert name. Bet mumsnet has gone into meltdown.

Congrats to them both.

Don't really give a toss about names etc but best of luck to the lad as he's he's had a pretty horrible upbringing, forced to walk behind your mothers coffin at a young age in front of an audience of many millions. Plus there's the relentless Daily Mail campaign against his wife as she's not Diana or Kate and is American. Hope he has all the happiness he can find.

I'm hoping for a full on American college boy name, an equivalent to Davis Love III. Partly because they make me laugh and also because royal watchers who analyse these things to death would go into meltdown at a non traditional name. The absurdity of royalty and the followers of it is comedy gold.

Spalding Windsor.;)

I am a Royalist and really like the pomp and ceremony that goes with them.
My guess is that Harry will be a great hands on dad.
Best wishes to them all.

Seemingly Harry wants to bring him up just like an ordinary person. Aye right.
Is that the same Harry who wasn’t content with a token effort when he joined the Army and actually wanted to do an active tour on the front line and do so . Been lucky enough to meet him through the Invictus games ( something that he himself got going ) and you couldn’t meet a more normal person who had their feet on the ground. He is a credit to the UK and indeed his brother and if there was any royal who will ensure their child is down to earth then it’s him.

I would rather support the royals than that bunch in the HOC or some looney President .

Quite happy to be a royalist

Not having a pop at Harry, who seems to be the best of an indifferent lot.
Just questioning his comment that his child will have a 'normal' upbringing.
It depends what he believes is normal. Our normal or his normal? It wont be our normal but perhaps it will be slightly less like his dads upbringing and his own. So far he seems a pretty decent bloke but clearly, normal he is not.

I think you're right. Not sure it'll be the normal upbringing the likes of us had but I think he'll get a pretty rounded view on life from Harry who I think has turned into a new model of "royal" and seems determined to form a legacy in the way his mother did. Things like the Invictus games and his insistence on being front line in the army are good examples and I think his desire to forge his own path doing work in Africa with Megan will enhance that. As royals go, I think he and his brother are definitely trying to move "the firm" towards the 21st century. Sadly there are still so many royals that seem out of touch with real life

Definitely call the boy James after the paternal grandfather …. ;)

Much like golf clubs who insist people dress like it is the 1950's, that may be part of their charm to some.
