Gentlemen, why will you remember the 2011 Masters? I will remember it for two reasons, some fantastic golf, which after playing for seven months or so I can for the first time really appreciate. Secondly whilst trying to emulate Rory and co today I scored my very first Birdie, with a grotty picked up ball after my own ball was played by the group we let play through. It is now on display in my trophy cabinet.

My memory of the 2011 masters will be tiny, Im in Amsterdam with the family, hotel tv has no coverage, not allowed to get out to see any i'n a bar,
All i have is what's available on my iPhone, but with a 25mb download limit i won't be seeing much streaming :-(

I think my Mrs booked this date on purpose

Sorry to say this but the 2011 Masters will be remembered as the one where millions witnessed the total collapse of Rory McIlroys game when it mattered the most, final day going down the back 9.

Heartbreaking to watch the young lad suffer.

Ditto.

In all honesty, in 6 months I would probably forgotton who won it. But not poor Rory's breakdown.

hopefully I will remember the way Rory, Jason Day and the 12 year-old played on Friday, total confidence and some masterful golf.

It's likely to be something from Sunday though. Perhaps finally seeing the Adam Scott the club pros talk about, or Mr KJ Cool, or Rory self-destructing (and I have to say Butch Harmon sounded genuinely sorrowful). I don't think it will be the winner - he's too anonymous.

I will remember it as I had £1 each way on Charl Schwarzel (80/1)and Luke Donald (25/1) .... although I would still have loved to see Rory win - result!

Of course, the McIlroy demise will stay in ones mind. But also I see it as the changing of the guard. Mickelson, Woods, Els, Vijay, Harrington giving way to a younger generation. The majors may be dominated now by newer faces and the old familiar ones just propping up the middle order.
