I've just watched the first episode and have to say that Clarkson turns a reasonable show into a brilliant one.
It's now very funny as well as interesting.
I think Clarkson is made for this kind of show.
I've really missed his humour ................. long may it continue .

just goes to show different strokes for different folks, its been on in the background and hes been dull as dishwater to me

He is a Marmite type of guy - love or loathe and I would expect your enjoyment or lack of, of this show to follow a similar pattern as a result

The format is still a good one. The presenter less so in my opinion. I didn't like his style but then again I found him irritating on Top Gear (even before his little dust up) so I guess he's one of those TV presenters that I can't warm to whatever.

Watched part of it last night where they had a funny guy from Cornwall l/Ethiopia ... the guy had a fair few digs at Clarkson about racism and not stopping at Stop signs.. he took them well

I though Clarkson was poor. He didn’t deal with guests and phone a friend well at all. As for him giving his opinion for a question when asked, that was awful. One minute he’s having a go at the guest for taking too long and then he goes into a diatribe about how he hates cricket and golf.

Watched last contestant last night. Not convinced by the 'Ask the Host' option - I thought it bleedin' obvious that Clarkson had no idea about Rene Magritte - and for the contestant to eschew 'Ask a friend' because none of her friends would know the answer.

In fact Clarkson knew the answer to the Son of Man picture as he said he thought it was the one with the apple and the bowler hat but couldn't connect that to the title of the painting. Indeed it was - and you'd know why that painting is called Son of Man if you had ever read Genesis or listened to your RE teacher :)

Apparently the Balearic islands are part of Italy 😱😱😱. Wow!

I was only turning over to catch the news and managed to hear a woman, married to a Spaniard, go with her gut feeling after a 50-50. Aarggghhhhhhh

As I noted in the random irritations thread... Don't get it with folk appearing on general knowledge quizzes that have none...
