I nearly replied to the OP then realised how old this thread is.

Haha I had to post on this thread as it was the most relevant to my question - wasn't sure whether i'd even get a reply so quickly, but thank you for taking the time! Will definitely try to contact Titleist USA for more information. Cheers!!

I've a hankering to go back to an old Titleist driver. I 'stuck with' an 8.5* 975D for 5 years with a prolaunch red 'S' and it was a 5 year battle/love hate relationship.

So who knows what were the reputable heads and sought after shafts? I believe the one I had had the worst reputation.

My mate just went for a fitting at their main place , Titleist in Cambridge.

Tried all combinations of the new GT range and non were as good as his 910 !!!!

I actually found the headcover in an old bag a couple years back, the one with the black and red stripey sock
