Problem I have with Gill, is would a person in her position really be sitting in in all the meetings like she is, it's almost as if she is in charge of the Police Commissioner.
 
Well I thought last nights episode was a bit of a let down.
Series 5 wasn’t as good as the others imo.
 
Definetly seemed a bit rushed and contrived last episode. Cant help but feel they got themselves tangled up and didn't know how to get out of it.
It obviosuly left the door open for a next series, but after this last episode I don't think I will bother again.
 
I enjoyed it - really good grilling situation with Carmichael, think most guessed that Gill had something to do with it all. You were sat there waiting for them to arrive with the new evidence getting tense and when it did - great turn of emotion from Hastings. Still think the episodes aren’t as good when Kate and Steve aren’t the main focus

Can’t wait for the next series
 
I thought it was a bit disappointing myself but guess that's what happens when one gets all hyped up about it. Anna Maxwell Martin (AKA Patricia Carmichael) was magnificent, smarm of the highest order she was.
 
Smarm Ma'am was so good she really wound me up!

I find it difficult to concentrate on such TV shows so what was the stuff about the new recruit?

Yes that confused me as well. Expect him to have a significant part in the next series!

Well I checked all the metadata myself, and have to agree, felt it was not as good as previous seasons, still got the hump with the perpetual use of OCG and bent coppers too. As for Steve suddenly seeing Dot's hand doing Morse code to indicate 4 H's..... I'm sure I'll watch another season if there is one, but won't miss it if there isn't.
 
2 questions I have are:

How did the OCG get the name H for their contact -who initiated them using it? Was it Corbett, McQueen or Hastings? or is it from info leaked by Hilton?

Was it Ted that was phoning McQueen when she was driving the Porsche and didn't pickup? As he was on the phone to someone who didn't answer just before he entered his hotel in episode 1 or 2.
 
6 is confirmed, but apparently Martin Compston has been asked if he'll do series 7 as well.
Per something I read on the internet - can't remember what though
