White belts: yay or nay?

White belts???? Nay.
Only ever wear black or tan belts. Have 3 pairs of white shoes, two pairs have black/silver detail on them so will wear a matching black belt, one pair have tan detailing so will wear a tan belt with them.
Nothing looks worse than somebody wearing black trousers with a white belt. A bit "Bugsy Malone" if you ask me.

I have black, white and yellow belts. In the 3 years I've owned it, the yellow one has never actually made it on to any of my golf outfits. I usually wear the white one, usually with white shoes and a light (white or yellow) top. The black one is mostly worn with my Aikido outfit.....
 
I thought this thread might be a bit of fun to pass the time of day... it seems people can have a barney about almost anything on this forum! :mad:

I don't understand why people need a belt to stop their trousers falling down?

I own 1, and it's black. Shiny black at that. I do have white sunglasses though. :o

Well the consensus it seems, real men cannot follow fashion and are considered ponces if they do.
Also.....the more you moan, the more alpha male you become.

I have all types of color belts, and tend to wear the white one only in summer.
Bit curious but how do the REAL men dress? Whats the norm for the course and in everyday life?

Apparently they wear ill-fitting, unironed chinos and sweaty, badly fitting polo shirts if most courses are anything to go by ;)

I think I'll get a white belt just to annoy people.
 
Im hosting a "free the white belt" charity concert.. Im gonna get loads of 80's bands to play a gig in Wigan Park.. If I get enough interest, im gonna supply every golfer in the UK with a white belt and a bottle of sparkly water. Any money left over i'll probably just waste and send over to Africa to help starving kids or something unimportant like that...
