Whitby/North Yorks/Seaton carew

Hello all,

After Oban falling through and St.Ives, as couldn't get a good holiday cottage near to them, I'm now going to Whitby for boxing day through to the new year (10 days).

I'm hoping to get a game in at Ganton with a member, but might also be able to get 2 more rounds in, if anyone fancies it and weather permitting days.

I'm gonna try and get Seaton carew in and maybe one other. let me know if anyone fancies a knock.

The thing with ganton is I played it last February and I was paired up with two members, one of whom was a liverpool fan, for his troubles.

Anyway, I said if he was coming to a match to look me up and we exchanged tel numbers. I'm going to text him soon, to see if he fancies another game at Ganton, if he's at a loose end. He's not a mate, and it would be awkward saying, can a few other lads come, I'm sure you'll agree.

Anyway, if he's not game and they do a good fourball price, or if we can get a few together for a good rate, I'll see what happens.The current winter rate is £50, I think.

Anyone fancy seaton carew, they seem to have good deals on., or willing to look into other options, I think one of the "cliffe" courses is good at Scarborough, but not sure which is best.

Seaton carew gets lots of good press, but I'll also check out Hartlepool. Which is likely to be in better condition, underfoot in late December/early January?

Have played Scarbro South Cliff & it ok but maybe wettish as Parkland. I rate Seaton Carew but don't know Hartlepool. Maybe best option as Wearside guy knows both.
