Was just reading a different thread and someone mentions carrying a rule book in their bag. This is something I have meant to do for a while.

I guess it is not the full book, but a summary ?

Could someone recommend which one ?

Thanks.

Come on - the whole official rule book is A6 size and only about 1/3 inchi thick !

Ok, keep your hair on !!

Just looked at my book and it is huge and realised it is the "Decisions on the Rules of Golf"

"Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status 2008 - 2011" is about 4" x 3" x 1/2". Easily kept in your golf bag and should be free through your club.

I always keep the "small" 204 page rules of golf book in my bag in a sandwich bag to keep it dry if it rains. Fortunately not had much call to use it for a while but it's there if the need arises

I have a copy of Golf Rules Quick Reference by Yves C. Ton-That in my golf bag which I find very useful.

It's easy to reference and its got pictures too :) :) :)

There is also an iphone R&A rules app.
but you cant use your i phone because it tells you the altitude your ball might reach with the perfect swing, with the 4 piece constructed ball and how far it will roll after the the 2nd bounce, and this is cheating
shagster
