I was recently fitted for new irons but can't get used to them. I keep going back to my old irons (mizuno mx19s) which are deteriorated but just seem to work for me. Can anyone advise me on which modern clubs would be the closest likeness to the old mx19s?
Thanks.

I had some great Mizunos years ago (and I mean years ago). I treated myself to some CF Mizunos (they were early T-Zoid) and never liked them.
Curiously, I bought a second hand set of much higher quality Mizunos and had them retro CF with shaft extensions and a degree up.
It is highly possible (i.m.o.) that your original MX19s are just so typical Mizuno that you might never escape the clutches....
The trouble is, all the decent Mizunos are expensive. I put my aberration with the T-Zoids down to the fact they were bottom of the range junk.

Have I helped... probably not, but go and try some of the better end of the range. Chalk and cheese.

When you say you were fit, can you elaborate on the fitting? And what irons/shafts did you get?

I would persevere with what you where fitted for, too often you see guys give up with new clubs after a couple of weeks. i would say 2 months at least to get used to them to be sure.. idea thing to do over winter.

With the MX19 they are a cast GI iron (i had the mx17) you might be able to pick up a set almost new or any of the JPx cast versions.
