Where will you be playing next week......

That sums up any par 3 to me

Don't worry Smiffy, there's a course planner made for Ping players....

I wont be playing next weekend :( but going down to Cardiff for a long weekend to spend a bit of time with the family so not to bad. Im actually glad im not playing to as im playing cr@p at the moment and think a weekend without golf might help me out a bit :D ;)

That 9 iron over the bushes is a bit risky for a Ping player im sure they would try and putt down the path :D

Playing Bamburgh Saturday then a game on Sunday with a Member at Mag Field.Got a bit of OT clocked up so may have a game Friday at my own track weather depending.

Does Aberdour have any other holes as I only ever see that 1 hole whenever the course is mentioned....J1UK that is quality! :D

That first at Aberdour looks good, only not a good time to pull the ball 20 yards left!

I think I'd aim at the right bunker with only 135 yards of club, chip on and drain the putt for a 3....actually, getting real, I'd mess it up altogether, pitch brilliantly to 10 foot and then have 4 putts to make a tasty 6.

What a nice hole. :)

For those of you who haven't played Aberdour, here's the first. A simple par 3. Only 160yds

You didn't mention it's into the prevailing wind too! :D

You are spot on the prevailing wind is normally into you and from the right whipping across the hole. I have played a few medals where players have been striking their 4th or indeed 5th tee shot and a few have just picked up the tee peg and walked off. Aberdour starts off with a couple of cracking par 3's and I think the 2nd is actually a far better (scarier) hole playing over the bay to a green where anything short or left is in the water and anything right is in the gorse/trees and if that was'nt bad enough out of bounds awaits anything long.
Anybody wanting to have a go at playing these two holes and the 16 others just give me a pm.

Easiest 2 starting holes I have ever played. Played the 1st into a crazy strong wind, 4 iron to green 2 putts. Playing the 2nd I only had to hit the ball 40yds left of the green and let it drift back into the heart of the green, 2 putts level par start. That was the scariest tee shot ever, guess how far out into the bay you are brave enough to hit it, play the shot and hope for devine intervention.

I agree. The second is a far more intimidating shot. Big carry over water & a wood back & left if you go too big.

Card wreckers, the pair of them. We just need a photo of the second now!
