Cannot remember what I paid but it was cheaper than new. Arrived in a couple of days on standard delivery.

I can also vouch for the apple refurb store, took 2 days to deliver, iPad came an did not look like a reconditioned model at all plus you still get a years no quible warranty

I'm after an iPad2.

Ebuyer had them at £389 for a while, but now sold out.

That leaves

Apple store (online)
Local Apple-designated vendor (no chance, it's not a real apple store)
or Comet,Currys,PCWorld.

I'm going to go with the direct order from Apple.

It's a shame, because a couple of weeks ago, my missus turned down one for £370 on apple friday.

Trouble is, we didn't know then we could use a mobile phone as a wi-fi hotspot to get data to a wi-fi only iPad.

Beware some service providers charge for this.

This is important.

buy it direct from Apple. You won't get a better price anywhere else.

Unless you think you REALLY need the 3G version, I would go for the Wi-Fi only. the 3G one you pay a lot extra for and you will be charged for the data usage.

You will be very happy with your purchase. They are awesome bits of kit. I use mine every single day.

Why does it need to be an iPad? I have an HP Touchpad and its more than adequate.

lads check out a store called best buy, genuine apple is price fixed on everything, and the cheapest we could find anything apple was full rrp, but best buy are closing down and as an apple approved store have imacs ipads, ipods etc all about 15% off.

HID wanted teh apple TV accessory for christmas, every where its £99.95, in best buy i paid £85.

Apple store only, any issues it will probably be replaced with a smile, save a few pounds short term might cost you a lot long term.

I bought my iPad from apple as it was the cheapest I could find, I wouldn't recommend the mobile phone wifi hotspot thing if you want to use it out and about then go for a 3G version but I find that I don't need it I have Internet on my phone which does fine for me, but at home it's great :)

funny you should mention this, i'm reading and replying on a brand new android tablet. Motorola XOOM. Got it before they run out and in comes the new one back at ipad money. Struggling a bit with typing but enjoying so far
