Greens weren't great, needing some grass growth.

Moan - Had to play yellows, I hate that, if you pay your fees you should be allowed to play whites in my opinion to get the course at its toughest.

Played on Wednesday, +1 out, +9 back :o for 79. Wind got up and it was quite cold. Holes into the wind were playing tough.

Overall impression was good, not quite as linksy as I thought, fairways quite lush and no dunes to speak of. Plenty heather and gorse. Greens were generally very flat, I expected more undulations.

Friendly enough and at £50 a round not too bad.

Won 5+4 though over my pal

Managed to get my name down for a Seniors' Comp in June. Normal green fee is £50 but for the Seniors it is a tenner.

Taking the 'Mrs' and 2 days later there is a comp at Profoot which charges £38 per round but wait for it - £8.

The wife does not know how lucky she is!

Fantastic prices indeed. It's Powfoot isn't it?
