Pairs/ team comps (doesn't matter which) - how do you celebrate or congratulate each other after a birdie or a clutch par putt???

Be honest, is it American stylee high fives and knuckles or are you typically stiff upper lipped and offer a congratulatory doff of your hat and (if they're lucky!) a firm handshake too!!??

I like a sarcastic knuckle to seal the deal

Considering we got banned from dancing like a pair of Russians as it was "damaging the greens", we just run around like loonies each hole we win.
No seriously we do do that knuckles thing but not on every hole we win just ones we shouldn't have or played really well.
I know it's sad but there you go.

Usually they do not go down well at ours, the trouble is they do not let you forget the knuckle when you double bogey the next.

Just a very understated smile and nod, a bit like the manly handshake that we did when scoring at football before we were obliged to snog our team mates.

Even when I sunk the winning putt in the most important 4BBB match I've ever played in on Saturday, it was just a smile and nod, shake hands and lots of backslapping in the car park when the opposition wern't around - standards dear boy, standards!

Similar to how i do it, just a nice smile and nod to my partner if its pairs. Fist pumping and whooping during the match is only likely to fire up your opponents so i dont do that. Just keep it cool and let them know youve got tunnel vision until youve got the win. Have a bit of a celebration after the match when my opponents arent there.

I couldn't agree more  over celebration is attention seeking nonsense. What ever happened to a bit of self control. Any whooping, hollering and general over reaction should be met with complete distain and maybe some kind of ritual humiliation

Show some emotion people!! Now while I don't do a Ravanelli or a Klinsmann down the fairway, there's nowt wrong with a high five if you/playing partner have played a blinder. If it was my shot I'll usually have a bit of of a clenched fist thrust (oooh er) a la Tiger supported by a "Get in!". If it was particularly special there might even be a little fist pump as well. I guess those moments come along less frequently for a high handicapper

In pairs with my long time golfing buddy, a high 5 that deliberately misses - it started as a pish take of a group we played that were mad on high 5's, low 5's, chest bumps.

In singles, the occasional (discreet) fist pump and quiet "yes." Although I have been tempted by back flips and handsprings...

Bit of a fist pump whether its singles or pairs. Normally a pat on the back from my partner if he makes the putt on the way off the green. Not a lot of celebrating going on Monday but I'll have a chat with Hawkeye and make sure we co-ordinate in time for the Volvo's

fist pumping, knuckle bumping, Sounds like the goings on at a top public school !
