whats the difference ?

the inserts are different (I think that hot is softer, but not certain)

Also, note that even the putter design may be different. My white hot fang is slightly smaller than the white ice. This means that I can pick a ball up by impaling it on the fangs (actually, wedging it between them) , but it just slips between them on the white ice.

White hot is a very soft insert which is great for shorter to mid length putts but horrible(for me) at anything around 25ft. The white ice is firmer and it didnt work for me at all.

the White Ice is harder than the White Hot and i have had both

If you play slow greens the Ice version may be better i found the White Hot better for fast greens

However i now play a Ping Scottsdale with insert and its the best insert around

Can't really make that much difference, isn't it just another gimmick to remove cash from our pockets?

I have both and the difference is that the White Ice is firmer than the White Hot on the insert. I like the White Ice better, even if it sometimes make the ball jump off the blade. I can tolerate that.
