As the title says what is the difference between the 2 wedges? My 56* is starting to show a few battle wounds and I'm thinking of changing but there are new regulations on the 2010 model. Is there much of a difference?

I think this is about the new regulation on the grooves that are allowed. Groove shape has changed.

However the pro I use tells me that this will not have that big an effect on your average golfers game just the low H/C and pro's as it mainly affects the control you get comming out of the rough onto the greens etc.

I am sure others will confirm but I think if you have an old wedge with worn grooves the new ones will be an improvment ...just maybe a little behind what could be achieved with last years models.

Comments?

I agree with the last posting. I bought a Vokey 56 deg sand iron yesterday which matches my other Vokey's which are a couple of years old and there seems little difference with the spin rates. Maybe the new one spins a tad more but its all a feel thing anyway

I also thought all clubs now sold had to be c of c conforming.

My new Adams are.

They certaianly do not generate the same spin when coming out of the rough (and sometimes not from the fairway either). I don't mind, but a friend with new Mizunos is selling them on after 3 weeks use and going back to his old clubs.
