Watching the golf from P.G.A.Catalunya and the Pros are destroying the course!
I have played here and regard it as probably the finest track I have played on continental Europe and indeed probably the hardest as well,just watching them playing the 9th reminded me that that hole alone must be among the hardest par 4's I have ever played anywhere!

I'm not sure what won the day we played it but would be willing to bet it wasn't better than 34 pts (maybe IM02 can remember) and that was from the ladies tees!!

These fellas play a different game to us mere mortals!

During the Masters (I think) someone commented that the difference between a scratch golfer and a top tour pro is the same at that between an 18 handicapper and a scratch golfer..... I'll get my coat!

I played PGA Catalunya twice in the same week about 4 or 5 years ago. The whole bloody place was covered in sand, and it was like hitting out of bunkers all the way round.
Lovely course, but completely ruined my golfing holiday

A friend was at a corporate do where John O'Leary Irish Pro from the 70's and chairman of the PGA for a number of year was the guest speaker.

In his opinion Pros in the top 100 of the world are playing at about +8 and the top 10 are about +12. He reckoned an 18 handicapper should get 30 shots from Tiger.
