What would you take for a spin?

I'm not a speed freak so I'd go for something that's quick but a great handler. Lotus Elise or Caterham Seven probably.

Got an R9 but would like a shot of the R8, costs a lot more though ;)

My own car. It doesn't do corners, no brakes to speak of, over padded arm chairs clad with shiny leather, would be huge fun. Slow, but fun, and I might learn something.

As an aside, for all the guys wanting to have a go in a fast car;

My wife went to Silverstone on a BMW track day. Massive queues to drive the M3. She spent the day hooning round in whatever was available, as it was more fun on track than standing in a queue.
She overtook the M3 every time. No one could drive it properly. 7 series diesel, 520, whatever, she was faster than the idiots in the M. Her favourite? And she was fast in it, 318 compact.

Sh drives an M anyway. Just not on track.

I went to a kit car day at Donnington. Most of the big names were there offering 1-3 laps in their cars for a modest fee.
I paid £10 for a "passenger" drive in an Ultima GTR.....a kit car weighing less than a Saxo with a 6.3 534bhp V8.

They wouldn't let me drive it (unsurprisingly).....but WOW, what a car.

I'll take a GTR please Bob?

Bugatti Veyron -nuf said.

But got to take a Lambo spider on a track day at an airfield outside Leeds last year, awesome, if you cannot afford one its a great way to have the experience. Heavy hints for fathers day should do it. :cool:

Wouldn't mind a rip round in something like the Audi or Peugeot single seater series, they felt damn fast in forza 3!
I suppose a silly fast tuned wrx would be nice too with a non conforming exhaust system.
