Interesting to see the variations. Last winter the club decided to go R/O having played qualifiers the last couple of winters, much to the disgust of a reasonably large section of the membership. Comps were well supported last yr (when the weather permitted) and I suspect this yr will be less so.

We we will be on winter tee mats soon, quite a few will not be placed on the tees, so that might force the club's hand, as will winter greens if they're forced to put some into play, which they usually are. Also, we're supposedly going to lose two holes for a month or so (at least) as the local water company need to replace a piece of equipment located under one of our fairways which will necessitate closure of the holes. I suppose I'll have to see how it all unfolds...

But they can't make a comp R/O. It has to be a qualifier and then has to be CSS+3 R/O calculated from the scores. Sounds like other factors will force the comps to be N/Q but do they still adjust handicaps based on them?
