Worried a little about the weekend , gf is a marathon runner , she couldn't get a place in London this year but is helping out , spoke to her this morning , she's adamant about still helping
The good (if the word can be used here) part about targeting a sporting event like this is that there are always plenty of medical folk and ambulances really close by admittedly they're more prepared for sporting injuries but at least treatment for these people shouldn't be too far away.
..and weren't they quick at going straight in as well. Even though another blast happened 10 seconds later just up the road, marshals and spectators just got straight in there and stuck in with no thought of another possible blast, hats off to them I say
According to an expert on the radio this is almost certainly not Al-Queda(sp) due to the type of explosives used.
The White/Grey smoke indicates low level explosives like gunpowder or Firework explosive, not C4 or similar which creates a black smoke as it burns everything.
If it had been C4 there would haave been dozens of deaths.
