Changing a headlamp bulb in my Chrysler. Apparently, it's not something you want to do, as it seems to involve removing the rear number plate and working forwards from there. Apparently it takes around 8 hours. Wow.

Changing headlight on Focus CMax


Apparently (so I found out) you have to take the entire headlight fitting out to change a simple bulb :confused:

...and to do so there is a hidden 'release clip' waaaay down behind some pipes :confused::confused:




have also just read my PMs :thup:

It's no easier on my Focus, every time a headlight bulb goes I have to take it to a mechanic. Ridiculously fiddly.
 
Ughh dont talk to me about headlight bulbs! Trying having xenon lights and have one fail in a Volvo XC90. Volvo want almost 150 quid!! So i googled DIY XC90 xenon change and have bought a pair for 30 quid..

:rofl: one of life's mysteries. over engineered or under. I can't work it out.
 
My old Renault Megane was a nightmare for bulb changing. The mechanic who did it was impressed that he did it in just over half an hour. Apparently you just about have to take the engine out to do it.
