What do you obsess over?

I can see the tyre pressure values of each individual tyre on my speedo display. I wasn't aware of this until recently but now I find I'm obsessing about getting the pressure levels bang on each time I'm driving. Inevitably one tyre will be marginally out, maybe due to being in the sun or the shade, but I find that slightly annoying. It's important to check pressures but I'm being overly sensitive about this.

So, what do other people obsess over that is slightly irrational or excessive?

Everything in life.

I am as close to an Aspergers diagnosis as I could be without being diagnosed. Tough to live with and that's with me more relaxed as I get older.

It's a golf forum, so golf wise, from the amount and type of tees in my bag and my pocket, which pocket, repeat for ball markers, balls, number on balls, the list goes on and on and on. My routines at home are constant and the people around me tend to support them, as they have absolutely zero chance of changing them.

Tyre pressures are one of mine too 😁

I would say I was a bit obsessive about some things in my younger years e.g whenever I could not play on the course you would usually find me practicing something everyday, prior to golf I was the same about snooker, when I took up photography I went somewhat over the top with all the gear I bought and the amount of 35mm film I went through.

Hard to think of anything in my later years.

I’m not sure if I’m obsessed but I constantly check the news (at least once an hour unless busy).

I think it’s just I like to know what’s going on but it’s something I have always done.

Much easier now with the internet rather than waiting for teletext to flick over the pages, although I miss bamboozle and the ads for all inclusive holidays

My Mrs is like yourself. Am used to it now. But every now and again I move the odd thing out of sync just to be a knobhead.
Keeps the spice in the relationship 😉

There's a difference between obsessions and habits. Obsessions can get in the way of functioning normally.

One thing I do that some people might consider mild OCD is that square coasters need to be aligned square on the table. If they aren't, it's not the end of the world. I will straighten them if possible, but won't have a breakdown if I can't. Is that a habit or an obsession?
