what clubs are iconic ?

I wouldn't call it classic or traditional, and its possibly not iconic, but the Oddysey 2 ball probably started the current trend for a lot of larger Mallet style putters with alignment aids we're seeing nowadays.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in the immediate period before the two ball it seemed any larger putter with any kind of forgiveness was deemed unfashionable. The two ball seemed to change the way people thought about putters.

Ive never liked it though Tbh. ;)

Other than the ram Zebra as mentioned earlier in thread.

Long handled putters -I first saw Peter Senior use one in the early '90s but not sure if he was the first proponent- and Gene Sarazen's sand wedge from the 30s

Great Big Bertha Driver - one of the first mass market Titanium drivers
Also the original Big Bertha driver
You'd have to put the R11 range in there as well as the Odyssey 2-Ball putter.

Why did you pick the R11 range?

Lots of strange choices going on here. The only ones I would say that are truly iconic are:

Bullseye putter
MacGregor eye-o-matic woods
Wilson 8802 putter (Little Ben)
Anser putter
Ping Eye irons
Mizuno TP irons
Big Bertha driver

The rest all certainly made an impression but I wouldn't say they are iconic.

iconic or not iconic?

white - check
2 ball putter - check

Chipper? - surely iconic by its notoriety?

My dad has a 3 wood of one of those in the spare room, it's got a head the size of a tea spoon.

As for iconic clubs, was is Sarazen that first put bounce on a sand wedge now that's got to be iconic for the way it's changed wedge design.
