What ball?

Evening all,

Finally coming to the end of my dozen of Pro V1's. I play off 11, have a fade and on a bad day a slice!. My ball flight is quite low.

I have narrowed down my next ball from three:-
Pro v1x
TP black
Z star xv

Anyone have any views from if they play any of the above?

Pro v1x is a cracking ball mate. Less spinny off the tee but still stops well on the green.

Bridgestone 330's, great balls, fraction of the price of Titleist, and comparable in all areas of the game.

The bridgestone site has a similar fitting guide as titleist, give it a try.

Yes tried them, prefer the 330 S Myself, but the E6/7 are very good balls. the 330's are a touch softer round the green, but the E6/7 are atraighter

Got recommended the very same. Gonna get some when I run out of my current lot.

Pro 1Vx is a great ball and definitely goes further then a V1!! But still spins well and feels good off the putter!! Highly recommend if expensive

I guess it depends on how big your budget is and how many you lose a round. If you are losing 2-3 everytime then £40 per dozen for Pro V or other top end make is going to be very expensive every few weeks or so.

big fan of the Srixon Z Star X here, regretting not buying a load more of last years model when they selling at £38 for 2 dozen a few mths back tho!

I like the Srixon and the Bridgestone. Been playing both at the moment, mucking about between the AD333 and Z Star on the Srixon front, and E6/ B330 on the Bridgestone front. At first, I had more good days with the AD333 than the others, but I'm now finding the others play good too. I hit the e6 very well yesterday and the Zstar very well on Saturday. I'd play any of the 4, whichever I can pick up cheapest at the time. AD333 on sale at Direct Golf for £12.99 a doz right now, but the Bridgestone's are only £15.99.

Been using the Srixon Zstar recently. Not that keen. They scuff up pretty badly, and for me, don't react around the greens like the ProV1s I'd normally use.
Tried a AD333 at the weekend, scuffed up worse than a Zstar, and didn't really do that much for me tbh.

I don't mind the Zstar, but I only have the Penta/TP to compare it to and I prefer the Penta, if I'm honest.

I do have a dozen ProV1 and ProV1x to use as well but I might stick with the Penta for now and see how they fair then I might move onto the ProV1's before using the 2nd dozen of Zstars that I have.

If I had the money I would buy Pro V1, its what I use whenever I can but I buy Z-Stars with my own money as its the next best thing.
