What are the best greens you've ever played on?

The greens at our course are good at the moment. However i have played many courses, but the best ive played on is long ashton golf club.

Good to see another Nairn man making this post! I was a member at Nairn Dunbar, Aiden, and yes, even I will confess to them being in my top 3 alongside Carnoustie and the Castle Course at St Andrews. They're always top notch.

Whilst on the subject of greens, our greenkeeper has anounced he is top dressing all of our greens on Monday.....wonder if he's looked in his diary as that's 6 days before the club championship!!!!!

Royal Liverpool Hoylake greens where pretty good in Febuary. Nice and true.

Belfrey greens are ace too.

Played North Middlesex yesterday, quick with lots of borrows. I also think the cut patterns had an influence as they not infrequently hinted at the borrow being in the opposite direction to what was there.

i would have to say the st.enodoc church course as the greens are perfect every time i go there but seeing as i have never ventured outside cornwall for a round of golf i wouldn't really know any other courses apart from around 5-6 in cornwall

Four courses spring to mind where superb greens are concerned. In no particular order...

Carnoustie
Hunstanton
The London Club
Bearwood Lakes

I think Hunstantons were the fastest, but the others were superb both for speed and trueness.

If you live in gods county you don't have to know many other courses! Suffice to say I travel south 300 miles every year to play the greens and fairways of the Church course, St Enodoc.
