What age is your Seniors?

Just discovered that the Seniors Open at Woodhall Spa requires just over 50. At our club it's 55+, so I'm wondering if any other clubs/opens have it as low as 50

It’s mainly 55 at most clubs and events

But England Golf run a “Seniors Series” which is over 50

It’s run by Lincoln Quaker who used to be a member on here

55 for the Senior Championship but the club seniors rollup, The Elders, starts, for some reason at 57...no idea why...

55 at my current club, 60 at my previous one.

I previously played an open in Scotland where 50 was the entry but they later increased it to 55, presumably to be in line with most other clubs.

At ours senior at 55, there are quiet a few senior opens that are 50, some of the apps show this on search results.

I honestly don’t know ..
Do any people’s club hold the same criteria?

Ours is 60, county stuff is 55. We had a vote at our AGM this year to reduce the club senior age to 55 but it stayed at 60.

I don't know. It just seems odd that both are not the same number.

Can only think that the level of participants for an Open based at over 60 would be to low for it to be viable

Ours is 55 and last time I played at Weymouth it was 60.

Ours is 55 though I didn't enter anything till I retired aged 63.
