Cheers for all the best wishes guys - it really does mean something. Had some time to kill today as mum was having the consultants visiting etc and so took the chance to play the midweek medal. Hadn't played for two weeks and didn't hit it great but knocked it round in nett 70 (level par) but felt I was 7 feet tall all day. Going to get an early knock tomorrow before visiting time. I'm doing ok and she is on the mend although stuck in hospital for at least another 4-5 days. To be honest it is her 2nd heart attack in four years and with the chemo etc for the cancer I think she is just tired now and the body is struggling to cope. That's life and sod all you can do to change it but she is an old school stubborn old sort and won't go without a hell of a fight. Win some lose some. I'm sure Mike will be here tomorrow to tell you all about it (and hopefully with at least an autogrpah for me if not the shoes) and hopefully Paddy and my paths will cross another time.

I sent a mail to Paddy's website too just to acknowledge the call and register my thanks so hopefully word will get back to him just how much it meant.

Martin, really do wish your mum a speedy recovery and am really pleased you got to chat to Padraig. Like others have said he didn't have to do that so that really says what a genuinely top top fella he really is.

I think GM should set Padraig a challenge to get you to single figures in less than a week!! Maybe in 3x 2hour sessions every other day.
