Last week I was crying in my beer for scoring 8 points on the front 9.
Went down the range midweek with a mate of mine who confirmed what I had been thinking...my ball position was too far back in my stance.
I made a conscious effort to correct it today. Result?
18 points out, 21 in!
I can't remember the last time I played to my handicap, let alone 3 under it.
And I only "fatted" one shot and nearly had a hole in one.
I'm back!!!!
:D :D :D

Good man. Don't you just love it when practice pays off. I played in a 4 ball better ball comp today and as a team we got 35 (didn't score at all on one hole - schoolboy error) but my partner only came in on 3 holes and didn't contribute at all until the 13th. Sadly I had three 3 putts which is unusual but I struck the ball really well especially off the tee.

I'm glad you are back on forma nd hope this new rich vein lasts for you

Nice thing was Homer, I carried it on for a further few holes. My mate and I had enjoyed the 18 so much we decided to make use of the available light we had left so played another 12 holes. Started at the first and nipped onto the 12th after 5 holes. Played the further 12 holes five over gross.
All in all a great day, and as I say....well chuffed.

Well done lads, I enjoy stories like that.

I played 11 holes on Friday with a friend.I was 8 over gross when we came off, really chuffed. I've only been playing since August and play off 24 (no comps yet). Had to take an unplayable on the 3rd with it landing in a bush n all, thought it would be a bad day. Just goes to show.
