Sorry but it's a total PR stunt and it was done using CGI by a friend of mine at Channel 8 in Tampa. It was a foul ball that flew over their heads and landed in the right field seats during batting practice in the original clip. It was then edited to make it look like Evan caught it and they added the bit about him shaking his hand at a later date.

They did a whole reem of these videos, basketball, american football and possibly even a golf one or two.
IMO a fantastic use of CGI, they all look bloody brilliant and beliveable (in most cases).

Yeah, YT is flooded with them. Like the guy that throws a basketball from the top tier of a stadium in to a basket pitchside. That ball would have to travel some distance and he would need arms like Popeye, Bluto and Deperate Dan rolled together.
