Anybody seen any of it today? Rory and Justin hitting the long par 5 in (600 yards) is just awesome to see. I see Rory has the new Nike driver (Blue), any idea what the differences are?

Watched the highlights on the European Tour website. Loved the three wood ( i think) shot from Bubba that he started way right and cut into the green.

Just watched the day 3 highlights on the European tour website. So disappointing to see such pitiful crowds for such a prestigious event with almost all of the top players in the field. Wonder what the players make of playing in front of such sparse galleries.

That's like most of the events in China

Expect the players don't care as the prize money is massive - hence why they have events over there

Interesting watching this morning as on the last Russell Knox decided it was too dark and decided not to play the last when both his playing partners decided to play.
Now he has to come back tomorrow to play the last before the final 2 pairings can be decided.

I never knew you could do that so something new learned not that its ever going to happen to me.

Also ive decided to back Dustin Johnson all year as he has one helluva game.

£10 every tournament should return a profit

Missed that as I've been out and about. I didn't know that either and would have assumed the rules official would have needed to make the call. Surely it opens a can of worms going forward if players can now decide when they can call play off

Why does it matter who is watching at the course if you're watching on telly?

I really wish someone would tell Kisner to stop gobbing ALL the time.

Unless there a medical reason for doing this it should be written in the etiquette section to not spit on the course, disgusting. If there is a breach, they should be penalised.

Can add Johnson and Knox to that list as well

Well done Russell Knox, that throws his name into the hat for Ryder Cup selection. Personally gutted that HT Li did not come through having backed him at 400/1

Great win but I don't think he's a member of the European Tour so won't get picked for the RC.
Another good finish from Young Fitz......

Atmosphere.

Would the Masters be the same if there wasnt those roars drifting through the pines?
Would watching Manchester United v Liverpool be as good if there was only a couple of hundred people in the ground?
Or would the Ashes be the same in front of a smattering of spectators?

Undoubtedly no and a decent atmosphere at the venue comes across on the TV. And i would imagine the players would prefer a good atmosphere than playing in front of one man and his dog despite there being gazillions of pounds / dollars on offer.

I think most professional golfers would rather play in front of less crowds.

No mobile phones going off, no persons moving about catching the eye, no roars going up at the top of the back swing, less loud voices chatting away, no sudden mass movement towards the next hole while having a 2 foot "tap in" to save par.

Far easier for them to concentrate.
