He needs to to be honest. Westwood needs to be competing against Donald, Woods, Mahan, Hass, Watney etc week in week out to test himself.

Good move. Bit of a make or break couple of years for him to try to grab a major before age catches up with him. I think being on the US Tour will help him raise his game again.

In reality it probably only means him playing a few more events in the U.S. than he did this year by the time you include the majors, WGC's and the Players.

I think he is in for a great year, his putting was woeful this year and with a small improvement he would have won a lot more - I predit 2 Tour events and a Major.

could make ryder cup selections interesting with kymer the only 1 of the 7 europeans ranked in top 20 wgr commited to euro tour, the other 6 will need a good season of majors and world champ weeks or captain could have a headache.

He's a bigger choker than Norman was. He'll never bag a major !!

Think it makes perfect sense. It will make him more use to the conditions in preparation for the majors, will test him week in week out against the best and be ideal in RC year. If he is going to get a major (and I still hope he does) this is going to give him the best chance. Less travelling even for the WGC events (which along with the majors count towards his European tour quota to keep that too) and so a decent idea.

It's not going to affect his number of tournaments drastically as rather than playing in Asia he'll play in the states was considered this year but the PGA changed the criteria too late after commitments to Asia comps. Can only be if a help in the majors and RC.

He has got to be playing against the best players week in week out to keep his chance of winning a major and lets face it the courses are going to suit him and his game,or has the departure from his best buddies company by els,mcelroy and g-mac had anything to do with it just an idea!!!?
