Were did you get that from?

If you look at the clubs i play i bought them all off ebay, got some bargains, the bafflers i have cost me £25 each,my Ping G10 £75.Always get the serial number before buying and check it with the manufacturers if you cant get the serial number or the seller wont give you it then stay well away.

E-bay shops mainly, after trying the clubs- either at a shop or borrowing. I will use a Pro shop if the stock is there but the standard of Pro shop around here is pretty poor. I'd have to tavel to get to a decent one and that just adds to the cost.
Only ever had one problem - a guy tries to sell me a Cally FT-3 that wasn't! It was an obvious fake and I began a dispute through PayPal - 3 weeks later I got my money back.

some bits i get from e bay
or direct golf,online golf,clubhouse golf,guygolfonline
just use the pro shop for bits you need just before you go out or club jumper

Onlinegolf. I have made numerous purchases from them, all with quick delivery and at the right price. On the one occasion I was unhappy with my order (through no fault of their own) they refunded me instantly upon return of the package without any fuss at all. I would definitely recommend them as a company, and the loyalty points scheme they offer is a nice touch as well, and I would expect it can accumulate nicely if you make a few larger purchases!

Not specifically an online shop as they also have numerous stores, but I have only ever had positive experiences using direct golf's website, and their price match promise scheme. They have not just matched but in fact beaten prices of their competitors a few times for me now.

I've used online golf a few times, always 100%.
I used 118 golf once and it didn't go so well.
Bought 2 items off ebay, now given up on that route.

From now on, it's my club pro, DG or AG for me.

I never buy clubs online for one simple reason. I want to hit them first and I don't know whether its just me (probably) but every set always feels just that bit different even if the specs are supposedly the same. As a consequence unless I've given each and every one of the bats a good working over either on a practice ground if purchasing through my club pro (or others) or at a driving range then I'm a no sale

I am probably a golf store/pros worse nightmare but in these hard times its my hard earned and I want to be sure I'm picking a set I can use rather than one I think I can.

I tend to get a lot of my clothing online and have used golfonline, onlinegolf, and clubhousegolf all with good results. Use 118 at your peril. Three orders and three disasters including FJ 25th anniversary dryjoys allegedly "in stock" taking 3 1/2 weeks. I could have got a custom designed pair of myjoys quicker

I'm a great fan of improvemygolf.co.uk (Graham's site) and use it regularly for all my practice aids. Great service and competitively priced. However I should point out that where possible for smaller items like golf balls, club logo'd gear (obviously) and even things like SC and shoes please try and use your local pro. A lot of them will price match where they can and in my experience if they are £20-30 more they will normally give longer time for lessons, throw in some freebie balls or offer discounts elsewhere. In essence you'll get the extra back in kind along the line and the more you can build a rapport the more he'll help

tend to use the local golf shops-were a bit spoiled in st.andrews cause we have actual golf shops and they allow u to try before u buy which is good and we have a custom fitting centre down at the range -prices are much the same as online -they have to be or nobody would use them !! ;)

I agree homer with the golf nik naks buy them off your pro they offer a great service. One thing i never buy is golf balls car boots are the place always someone virtually giving them away.last year i had a guy selling me pro vs for forty pence each.

I generally give the club pro the opportunity to price match or get close.
If he can't I'll order online..Clubhouse Golf, Snainton Golf, or even ebay ( as long as you watch what you're doing.)

If I go to a shop it is normally my club pro or Direct Golf in Cambridge. Tend to use the club pro irrespective for balls and smaller items.

If I am looking for something online then Onlinegolf have given me faultless service everytime.

The other site worth looking at is justgolfonline. They sell end of range kit and bankrupt stock and is great for a bargain. Customer service is also top (even put in a small bag of tees in with each of my orders)

I see no-one has mentioned Graham's excellent site? :(

Thanks Bob and Martin.

I dunno. You provide the largest range of training products, more info on the products than anyone else, mostly next day service (after reading gripes about 118golf), and I don't even get a shout? I guess that as a specialist we wouldn't be considered in the great golfing scheme of things.

Though I would like to thank all those that have purchased from us and those that have visited the site. I do hope the experiance was pleasant for you.

For those that have purchased. Please remember to leave a review of the product on the website. This will greatly assist fellow golfers in choosing products for themselves. Many thanks.

Graham

I have used a few sites in the past namely Direct Golf, Tim Jenkins, Snainton Golf and a few clubs from e.bay.

My club pro now offers a price match policy so for all purchases other than e.bay I would prefer to give him the business. There are some real bargains to be had on e.bay but you have to be careful.

I just got my driver from an AG store and found the service great after a couple of failures on their part previously. I wouldnt mind getting my new irons from them in a couple of months but they are still charging £540 for the I15s!!! plus I want Multi compound grips adding and there is no way I am paying over £600 for them.

If I were buying a larger item, say a new set of irons or a Driver, I would do my pricing research online and then give my pro the opportunity of my business, without putting too much pressure on him.
If he was close to the best price I had seen on-line, I would buy from him. But if he were way out, then on-line I would go.
I bought my Ping G15 driver this way, and the price difference between my pro and the best online price was only £10.00. Bit of a no brainer really, 'cos if I had problems with it I knew the pro was only a phone call away.
For golf balls, tees etc. I will buy online.
I can get a dozen balls for roughly twice the price my pro charges for a sleeve of 3. And why pay £1.00 for a pack of 20 wooden tees when you can buy 1,000 online for £10.00????
These are "throw away" items and I'm highly unlikely to want to go back to the pro with problems related to 'em!!
;)

Snainton are doing i15's (3-pw with multi compound) for £549 or £489 if you only want 4-pw. And if you know your spec they can build them to that - choice of shaft (some do cost extra),flex, grip size, lie colour.
Makes you think........... And free delivery too.

Mmmmmmm - where's the credit card??????????
