COME 'N' HAVE A GO OF YAE THINK YER HARD ENOUGH.

Not sure this is correct, on 5Live this morning they were comenting on how many scots were out watching the Ashes and there are now, appartently, more cricket clubs in Scotland than there are rugby clubs

I'll ask again........I posted the below last week and still have not received an answer to my query....

While this subject is up can anyone tell me why England are known as England and not Wales & England - They select from both nations so why does Wales not get credit for propping up English cricket? Is it the same reason the South Africans never have?

They are even missed out of the abbreviation of the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The should have a name like Engwelsh.

But I think I prefer WaleGland.

Come on,is there an answer to this? I am genuinely interested.

I don't think anyone would admit to receiving assistance from the Welsh...

Anyway, have you ever spoken to a Welshman??? They'd never understand the subtle nuances of cricket...

Why are fans and media so excited about the Ozzies 245 first innings? 245 is not a great score but it's not that bad either surely is it? If they'd skittled them for 130 I'd see the point but 245 seems reasonable to me.
If England have a batting collapse again 245 might look ok.
Anyone care to explain?

Its a good score to get them out for if you look at what they normally score there in a first innings. 500+ isn't unusual, and they average 400 and something. Everyone thinks its a good batting wicket so, with a bit of luck and a following breeze, England can look to get that 500+ and really put the pressure on.

Ah ha…you're probably right, but when Tommo used to do a bit of serious photography I went to a local game that gets quite a big write up in the local paper.

How many people were watching this game, sunny day as well…zilch, not one person....I did see a dog but it was busy.

Good first hour tomorrow to lay the platform and give us a lead of around 100 and I think we can bowl them out again cheaply and win inside 4 days

England expects..........

Erm...No. It's called optimism and belief in your national team. I know that's something that you Scot's are devoid of, since you don't have national teams that can compete with the rest of the world in almost any sport. But despite what Scotland think of the "lack of" England's sporting achievements, we're actually pretty successful (except in Football :D)

I've never been on a forum that has so much Scottish bitterness! I'm sure most of it is just for reaction, but blimey, get a grip! Must be all that grim weather you get up there. Miserable gets :D

Wind your neck in mate, didn't a certain Scottish duo not win the GOLF World Cup a few years back, not blowing our own trumpets or anything :)

Yes those famous scottish brothers, the Mc Molinari's :D
