What a start to the 2nd test that was last night!! I thought it would be a long hard day in the field trying to fustrate a big score.

Great fielding from Trott to mop up the poor running and 2 great teasers from Anderson just in the right spot to get Clarke & Ponting.

Hussey showed real class again so hopefully we can rack up a big score on that pitch and leave 2 days to try to win it.

Sneaky feeling that it will be a battling draw again.

Bloody marvellous! Glad I stayed up for half an hour. Didn't expect to see 3 wickets :D

245 all out is a cracking result for us on that wicket. Could have been alot less had Jimmy A held the catch from Hussey which would have made it 12-4.

Great cricket by England though. Now we just need to see if we can capitalise on it!

I'm with you on that I stayed up for the first hour and was great watching. Hustsey is very good he digs in well shame Anderson couldn't take that chance.

Watched the first hour, but being a fickle England supporter went to bed once the wickets dried up. 245 all out is still a good result, as wicket should be at it's best over next two days. Hopefully will take spin later, so a 200 lead would be nice.

Good first hour tomorrow to lay the platform and give us a lead of around 100 and I think we can bowl them out again cheaply and win inside 4 days

England expects..........

Erm...No. It's called optimism and belief in your national team. I know that's something that you Scot's are devoid of, since you don't have national teams that can compete with the rest of the world in almost any sport. But despite what Scotland think of the "lack of" England's sporting achievements, we're actually pretty successful (except in Football :D)

I've never been on a forum that has so much Scottish bitterness! I'm sure most of it is just for reaction, but blimey, get a grip! Must be all that grim weather you get up there. Miserable gets :D

That they did and I was hoping they would win and supporting them all the way (a shocking concept, I know :D

Oh and Monty and Warren might have won it in '07, but England have won it twice to Scotland's once. Sorry about that :D

There you go, I rest my case.

Oh dear. There I was, hoping I'd get some friendly banter, but the cold seems to have destroyed the collective sense of humours of them up north. :(

Yes, but lets not get ahead of ourselves here. We now need to bat for the next two days and really grind the f*cker into the ground like they did to every other team in the world. 600 please.

There have been plenty of Scots that have played for England over the years. Infact one of the most Famous Ashes Captains was a Scot; Mr Douglas Jardine. :D :D :D

Precisely what I thought when I saw the final innings score this morning. Isn't that precisely what The Aussies did to us last week. Then Strauss, Trott and Cook got their Mojo on. The Aussies have the capability of doing that in their second innings, especially up the top of the order.

But, having said that, you can't ask for a better start!
