Weird redirect if URL

I have the following url saved as a favourite: http://forums.golf-monthly.co.uk

but when I click it, my browser redirects me to this link: https://forums-secure.golf-monthly.co.uk/profile.php?do=dst

Which is just a blank screen. If I select the favourite another time it does the same, and then on the 3rd time of selecting it the correct URL loads

I'm accessing via Chrome, but wondered if this was something that happened to others or was just my own unique problem.

If I type Golf Monthly Forum into Google and use the link from there, the page loads with no issue

First link works fine for me, the second link (if you remove the do=dst) is actually a link back to your own profile. Clear out the cache in chrome and reload the page, see if that helps.

Yeah, if I click the link it works fine for me too. It is only when trying to load the page from my favourites I get this issue. Seems a little odd. I've tried deleting the fav and readding and it's the same. Could be some caching issue though I guess.

I have the exact same issue. Regardless of what device I use (iPad, work PC or my iMac at home) usually takes a few goes and I eventually get in. Bizarre.

I only seem to get it from my work PC, which is probably accessing via some over the top firewall. Seem ok when accessing from home

thought i'd been banned

I put the lappy on this morning, as every morning, to catch up on last nights frivolity on here. Imagine my surprise when it wouldn't connect to my forum home page Oh no!! What have I written? don't say I've been hoiked off. Re-started and Phew! reprieved and relieved. I wouldn't know what to do if I was ejected. The knitting forum is pants.

Same here but it loaded up on the 3rd attempt! I thought it had gone pear-shaped Sat night and Mike had taken it down!

Ditto. I had to use google to get in, rather than favourites.

Just logged off, and then had the same problems logging back in.

And another, wouldn't load properly, opened a new tab & reloaded, now working fine.

It happened on another IPC forum I go on as well. So if it continues then probably a simple server issue the IT Dept will sort come Tuesday.

Agreed, I see that they're still showing old time for posts so must be something to do with that.

Same here, couldn't get on all morning, blank screen whether I used my computer (on Firefox) or my HTC phone. No alerts showing and as soon as I log in as can't use short cut at all, blank screen syndrome with "secure" in the title.

Thought I'd done something wrong and ben hoofed
