Weekend Motorsport

What a weekend!
Rossi with the win, Cal on the podium and Lorenzo getting 5th with a broken collar bone. I'm not keep on Lorenzo but I have a lot more respect for him after that performance.
Thrilling F1 race but Pirelli have to get the tyres sorted out and fast before someone gets seriously injured or worse. If Alonso had gone to the left and not the right to overtake Perez he would have had the entire tyre carcass in his face. Very scary for all involved.
Not seen WSBK races yet but love the supersport races. Class of the axe murderers is so apt when you watch them go wheel to wheel around the corners.
Great race from Redding in Moto2, good steady scoring with 2 wins so far this season is great for the lad.

Guessing you'll be too young to remember the ear shattering wail of the Matra V12... Now that was something else...

probably, first F1 i watched was 1998 at silverstone. if you want noise combined with smell though, i grew up with the best combination EVER.

2-Stroke racing motorbikes with the smell of Castrol-R. simply the best smell and sound ever. our family holiday was the IOM TT throughout the 80's as my dad used to race sidecars there.

Ah, but if the drivers kept on the tarmac instead of cutting every corner there probably wouldn't have been a problem!

Slime.

the noise of a single F1 car at full throttle is enough to give up most things for! let alone 20 of them!
I much prefer just the noise off 1 F1 car going round as you really get a feel for it. Went to the British GP a few times but went to the Renault GP at Silverstone and they used to put last years car out doing 5 or 6 laps and the noise round the circuit was incredible.
