So we have the Dutch TT moto GP and the British Grand Prix F1, can we have a possible british double?

Cal crutchlow got pole for the bikes, the first Brit for over ten years t get a top class pole position! Bradley smith made 6th!

As for the F1, it's a lottery, yesterday was littered with wet weather etc, today will be 'moving day' so to speak.. The merc looks good though, so can Lewis do well?

Discuss both...

We've got wsbk imola this weekend as well.

As usual smiler will get pole and hopefully the win but so many of the boys are up there and super quick.

As much as I want cal to win I think Marquez will win but I have both in my fantasy league so its all good for me.

Lorenzo is not racing so its good for Marquez as he crashed out last time and if he hadn't he'd be right there at the top,I reckon he could win the championship this year......great to watch!!

I reckon Weber will win the F1. No pressure of the championship or retaining his seat for next season, he can just go out and race his nuts off. Rosberg could also be in with a very good chance

Lewis has been saying he isn't confident in the Merc at all so he has already made mind up.Mclaren will get 8th at best, even if it rains which is unlikely.

A potential surprise could be di resta if the car makes it to the end as he has has good race pace most races so far, just been unlucky with single mistakes or car reliability.

Should be a cracker though and I've set the skybox to record as I'll be swinging the bats

Remarkably Lorenzo is racing! Crash Thursday, surgery Friday, race Saturday! I think he starts around 12th on the grid so a big job but wouldn't bet against a podium.

Would love to see cal get his first win but it's too much I think for him to stay with Marquez and pedrosa.

Amazing that he is riding! Vid of his 120mph crash here http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/motogp/23096412

I'm surprised he is racing, last I heard he wasn't and he missed qualifying.....not sure how he managed to get on the grid especially 12th.

Just read on the gp website that he was given 12th because of his combined free practise times.

I doubt he will get a podium let alone a top 5 result but you never know.the stresses going through his shoulder when braking heavily will be tremendous.

In truth he'll be doing well to finish the race with the stresses it'll put on his injury but he is a determined wee guy and a brilliant competitor.

Anyone know what time he motogp race starts?

Moto 2 is on the now with 11 laps to go and the gp should be on no later than 30 minutes after it has finished so I'm guessing roughly 1.30pm.

It will be on bbc red button and then on Eurosport after that as they don't show the gp race live.

I'll finish watching the rugby, switch over for motogp then go play golf. Live for the weekends!

Great race! Rossi wins and he loves it. Amazing Lorenzo getting 5th. And brilliant ride by cal, on the podium and very unlucky not to get second; surely he's got to get a factory ride next year? I think he should get pedrosa's place, to be honest!

Not a big fan of Rossi but pleased to see him win again... No one wins as well as him! Crutch was both lucky and unlucky but another podium which is as good as he can expect where he is at... Need to find out what happened on the last lap as Brad gained two places...

today at 6pm on eurosport 2 you can follow the FIM Speedway Grand Prix live from the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. 7/1 for British rider Tai Woffinden seems a bit tight, but he is riding on a high at the moment.

In light of the amount of TV hogging on my part this weekend I am having to concede to herself this evening... Will have to make do with highlights tomorrow... Tai has shown some good form this year...

I'm not sure your logic behind this.......pedrosa is leading the championship so in theory nobody deserves his seat.

I agree, almost think pedrosa came to the big class to early, think now he has the brain and a little more muscle to win regularly. The best is yet to come from him. and him and marquez in a team... i dont know how thats not cheating! both of them under 8st i think! just checked, dani 51kg and marc 59kg! fat bloater needs to lose some weight!!

Mainly because he's been on one of the best bikes for years and has never managed to break through. I think he's destined to be the classic "nearly man". Seems to be too much of a one trick pony with a fast start but always loses out in the scrap if he doesn't break clear at the front.

Will be very surprised if he wins the championship this year and, assuming he doesn't, I'd say he's had his chance and just wasn't good enough.

It's all about opinions, of course!

The problem pedrosa has had over the years is injuries, nearly each season he has a accident that breaks a bone and hinders him for some part of the season.i agree with the nearly part,a bit like haga in wsbk but winning the championship doesn't determine whether you get a ride and which ride you get at that.

There is so many top riders in moto gp especially with the likes of Marquez coming up and cal riding so well on a satellite bike.

Watch this space though,I wouldn't personally have said pedrosa would win this year but I'd like to see you eat your words so let's hope he can do it :D
