As some may may be aware that I am changing my lob wedge to a vokey oil can. What I wanted to know was does the rusty wedge create more spin then the normal vokey spin milled????

Not convinced it makes any difference to the control or amount of spin. Certainly not for an average club golfer and more a gimmick than proven technology.

As said, don't think it makes any significant difference to performance, more about looks and personal choice.

Interesting..........I thought i would go for sometnig different. As long as it doesnt play any worse then the vokey spin milled i had previously then i should be ok!

I did not know until the other day. That the vokey & Clevland wedges were cast. Alway thought they were forged.

Cast from the same mould judging by the looks of the new Cleveland wedge in this month's mag - or is it a Vokey...?
I thought Cleveland had just introduced a forged version

Vokey's are cast but from mild steel, it's softer. Most irons that are cast, are cast from stainless or harder grades of steel.
