Wedges!!! Every Cloud!

Sunday on the par 3 fourth I tried a lovely little chip onto a flat green... I ended up thinning it watching the ball shoot straight across the green down a hill into deep rough! (At this point cursing as I considered putting but thought naaa thats for COMPLETE beginners)

Being angry (and lazy) I took my SW and Putter to the other side of the green dropping and replacing the club I didnt need for the next shot.

Im sure you can imagine what happened when I needed my trusty SW when I got to the 5th hole 450 yrds away from the last green...

Expected some good citizen would hand it in I struggled through using my PW and asked at the Pro shop after the round.

Gutted I have lost a club that other than the last times I used it has worked so well for me I have decided a deserve a set of wedges to replace it.

What do you all think of these for a beginner. Thought it was a good deal myself.

Dont want to call the club shop until after the purchase incase someone handed it in behind me, I can justify spending more golfing money if its still reported missing!

I would have walked back asking each group as I passed them if they had it. I recently found a wedge on the edge of our 14th, it was back with its owner by 16th

Davey, Sorry to hear of your loss, done it myself years ago but . The JPX are a good wedge but for the money you may consider http://www.onlinegolf.co.uk/product/Taylor-Made-XFT-TP-Wedge/p52620.aspx....
I use a Z-TP and find it very, very good. And you can replace the face if the grooves wear down

I hope someone hands your old one in though.

I play 2 XFT wedges (Z-Grooves), used to be 3 until I saw the light. Excellent wedges. Recommended :thup:

They look like some pretty sweet wedges!! Never seen one you could replace the face before!

They aren't really new, 2010 I think they came out. But they are the only ones I know of so not common.
It's a good idea if you're not comfortable with sharpening the old grooves.
